Cyber Data Analyst

The Cyber Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to identify cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and for developing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role involves creating insightful dashboards using Power BI and working closely with the executive team to inform strategic decisions.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to cyber threats.

  • Develop and maintain KRIs and KPIs to monitor and measure cybersecurity performance.

  • Create and manage interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents to determine their impact and severity.

  • Conduct regular assessments of network and system vulnerabilities.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and technologies.

  • Provide recommendations for improving security policies and procedures.

  • Strong understanding on DLP and eDiscovery 

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
 

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with executive teams.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a cybersecurity context.

  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

  • 1+ years of experience in data analysis and working in Power BI.

  • Experienced in working with KQL.

  • Has experience in e-discovery.
