Chevron's Information Risk Strategy & Management organization is seeking a self-directed professional with digital forensics experience to fill the open position of Forensic Investigator. The primary purpose of this position is to conduct computer forensic investigations and provide forensic experience for the team. The candidate will be expected to have an experienced foundation of technical expertise, possess strong communication skills, and provide quality results.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Impartially conduct investigations, recovery, and preservation of electronically stored information to protect Chevron.

  • Mentor others on the use of forensic tools.

  • Prepare final reports for external entities such as government agencies and outside counsel. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in digital forensics or related areas

  • Forensic certifications (past or present) required

  • Experience with handling restricted or highly confidential issues and information

  • Understands IT systems knowledge (Hardware, Software, Network) and electronically stored information (ESI) data sources

  • Experience in corporate administrative investigations or criminal investigations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field of study (Digital Forensic, Computer Science or Cybersecurity)

  • 10+ years of work experience in digital forensics

  • Experience with eDiscovery/EDRM

  • Background of mentoring and training
