Manager, Forensics eDiscovery Consultative Sales

Job Summary:

The Manager is responsible for building, developing, and cultivating new relationships with enterprise legal departments. This individual should have a strong business development and Solutions Architect background with corporate legal departments and a technical understanding of how ESI flows through the EDRM.  Additionally, this role will be able to provide guidance and consultation to enterprise legal departments during the sales process to better identify, assess, and develop Forensic Technology Services clients. 

Job Duties:

  • Develops and executes a strategic plan tied to increasing the number of Forensic Technology clients with limited oversight from senior team members 
  • Drives revenue and market share for BDO’s Forensic Technology Practice, both individually and as part of a larger pursuit team
  • Finds opportunities to cross-sell to other BDO practice groups by being able to fully understand the problems that the client is trying to solve for
  • Meets or exceeds assigned revenue targets
  • Develops and cultivates long-term relationships with clients
  • Acts as a trusted advisor for client questions and inquiries about workflows, processes, and billing, as needed
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight and feedback to levels ranging from Associate to Experienced Sr. Associate 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Statistics, Management Consulting, Management Information Sciences, preferred

Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years with specific enterprise e-discovery consultative sales experience, required
  • Successful track record of meeting and/or exceeding assigned revenue targets, preferred 

Software:

  • An understanding of Relativity and other e-discovery applications, required 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Business development skills in related to securing new enterprise clients
  • Ability to provide additional services to existing clients, preparing proposals and developing a personal network of referral sources
  • Ability to be successful in eDiscovery consultative sales with enterprise accounts 
  • Ability to embrace change
  • Strong analytical and basic research skills related to the identifying prospective managed services clients
  • Ability to negotiate large, enterprise agreements
  • Solid organizational skills especially with a focus on the small details
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a large organization and, collaborate and partner with cross-functional business groups in order to successfully cross-sell multiple service lines within BDO 
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm 
  • Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and clients
  • Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements
