Role Overview:
As a Director, you will be work closely with the project team to become familiar with the clients’ big-picture objectives and challenges and execute on critical project deliverables to ensure these objectives are met on time and with the highest quality. With this knowledge you will be responsible for designing and executing efficient, innovative analytical workflow solutions to address their issues.
The role will be remote, but require travel to our West Coast clients. The preference would be for the candidate to be located in the Pacific Time Zone or willing to travel.
Responsibilities:

Preservation and analysis of electronically stored information (“ESI”) using industry standard tools and practices

Secure transfer of digital evidence while maintaining chain of custody;

Maintain integrity of electronically stored information for admission in a court of law;

Proactive research and recommendations of technology solutions and process improvements that will ensure continued defensibility;

Day-to-day client engagement activities, including interaction with client personnel, internal Ankura team members, and other stakeholders involved in a given engagement;

Providing project support to team leads and clients:
-
Delivering daily updates of projects engagements to team leads;

Responding to client requests and setting clear expectations to internal and external stakeholders;

Conducting quality control checks to ensure accuracy of tasks/deliverables related to searches, review workflow, productions, processing and exports;

Work with team leads to learn and take ownership of project tasks.

Coordinating with client contacts to provide project deliverables, progress, timelines and advise on strategy, workflow and best practices;

Designing and implementing intelligent workflow solutions to quickly identify the key facts, details, and merits of the case.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Preferred degree digital forensics, engineering, computer science, information technology, data analytics, or work experience in a related field

5+ years of experience working in the Digital Forensics and related space

Experience with forensic software: EnCase, Access Data Forensic Toolkit, Cellebrite , Linux-based forensic tools, Magnet Axiom, Blackbag or similar forensic toolkit

Email Systems: Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes/Domino, eVault, email archive platforms

Cloud-based storage and chat collaboration platforms such as SLACK, Dropbox, Box, etc.;

Experience with eDiscovery Review/Processing Platforms is a plus: Relativity, Brainspace, Disco, Nuix, Law, MindsEye

Ability to Travel as needed to West Coast Clients
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Bright Labs is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Bright Labs, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $85,000 to $200,000.
