Apple is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Source Code Analyst to join the Legal Operations & Global Security Operations team. We are looking for an expert in the eDiscovery industry with a focus in source code to drive the development and continuous evolution of the Apple Legal source code program and to guide its strategy. In this role you will have the chance to make a major impact in the way that Apple delivers world-class support to its legal matters, while simultaneously handling Apple’s eDiscovery docket.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on experience working in eDiscovery at a vendor, law firm, or in-house legal, or engineering (or equivalent) department
- Strong aptitude and experience with source code
- A thorough understanding of the eDiscovery process and lifecycle; must have demonstrated experience managing each step in the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
- Ability to explain technical ideas and concepts to a variety, including non-technical, audiences
- Translate team goals and priorities into a strategic plan and subsequently drive, track, and report progress of such plan
- Ability to work independently and proactively to meet aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment, including managing and prioritizing deliverables with cross-functional teams
- Interest and aptitude in building and cultivating relationships with cross-functional business partners and engineering teams

Description
You will serve as Apple Legal’s eDiscovery source code expert and will develop and uphold Apple’s best practices for collection and deployment of source code in its legal matters. You will work in conjunction with the eDiscovery Leader, Legal Technology Solutions, IS&T, and our internal Business groups to build and develop improvements of Apple’s source code program through identification and analysis of problems, appropriate scoping of projects, and timely execution of identified solutions. You will train and mentor our internal and external teams on Apple’s source code program and best practices and design and maintain documentation and training guides around Apple’s best practices. You will act as a liaison between in-house counsel, internal business groups, outside counsel, and eDiscovery vendors to deliver eDiscovery strategy and support to legal matters. In addition to source code, you will be responsible for a wide range of eDiscovery tasks, including the collection of documents and oversight of the document review and production process. As an eDiscovery Source Code Analyst, you will foster a collaborative environment and lead by example with a can-do attitude and a vision of excellence, inclusivity, and compassion while also being process-oriented and striving for efficiency.
Education & Experience
– Bachelors degree or certification in relevant legal technology processes – Experience with handling source code technicalities and sensitivities, with a preferred background in the eDiscovery context – Training or certification in digital forensics preferred – Membership to industry associates such as Association of eDiscovery Specialists Certification (ACEDS), or EDRM preferred
