Director, Forensic Technology

FTI Consulting

  • Full Time

About the Role

We work with corporations, governments and law firms to meet legal, regulatory and investigative demands by leveraging our skills to enable our clients to more confidently govern, secure, find, analyse and rapidly understand their data in the context of compliance and risk.

This Director position is within FTI Consulting’s Technology Consulting team, based in our Johannesburg office. We would expect a successful candidate to be able to manage teams of people, collaborate with our clients to deliver strategic solutions and assist leadership with securing new work. As an industry-leading consultant we would expect you to show a flair at solving complex problems with well thought out and innovative solutions, whilst working in a deadline-driven environment and handling multiple tasks through to completion.

What You’ll Do

A Director candidate would be expected to handle the responsibility for hands-on day-to-day delivery of technology-driven engagements, working alongside both junior and senior team members. The role will also include acting as a mentor to junior team members, assisting with their development and performing quality checks on their work product. Time management and project management skills are essential, ensuring that we plan and meet deadlines as agreed with our clients.

Candidates should have an interest in using technology to solve one-off and repeatable problems and be able to think on their feet to do so. The role will also require the candidate becoming involved with Business Development activities, assisting on pitching for new work and developing relationships with both new and existing clients.

How You’ll Grow

We take pride in the growth opportunities available throughout all roles in our team. We offer our team the opportunity to work on challenging engagements, to show initiative to define our working standards, and to help mentor junior members within the team. Everyone is assigned a career coach, who will help you assimilate into the team and will provide you with a career development pathway, including professional certifications and courses to aid your development.

Our team is collaborative and will give you the opportunity to work and learn from industry leaders. FTI Consulting was recognised as having the greatest number of recognised Consulting Experts by Who’s Who Legal from 2016 – 2020, and our Discovery Consulting practise was named as the best end-to-end eDiscovery Provider by The Recorder in 2019.
