Salary range: $105k-$115k
We are seeking to hire an e-Discovery/Litigation Support Specialist for a reputable Litigation team to provide technical and administrative support to attorneys and support staff for all electronic discovery tasks and projects through all stages of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). This position will work with attorneys in coordinating all e-discovery-related tasks with Relativity vendors and clients, engage in ESI uploads, processing, searching, review and analysis and production as needed.
The e-Discovery/Litigation Support Specialist will also assist with adherence to eDiscovery best practices and standards. The e-Discovery/Litigation Support Specialist will maintain incoming data in a non-volatile state and copy data to Relativity where it can then be processed according to tailored requests for each client. Ensuring the requests are adequately formed, tracked, and responded to in an efficient and accurate manner, the ESI Support Specialist works primarily with the Director of Legal Support Services and with attorneys.
- 5 years minimum experience in litigation support
• High proficiency in eDiscovery tools such as Relativity - Must exhibit familiarity with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)
- Performs technical and administrative functions for e-discovery collection and processing platform (Relativity)
- Creates and maintains matter-specific ESI repositories within internal and external ESI processing platforms;
• Manages ESI processing, review, analysis, and production as needed; - Provide on-site support and assistance to legal resources regarding ESI and e-discovery as needed;
- Handles additional related e-Discovery and IT security projects as assigned;
- Familiar with electronic discovery technical issues (load files, metadata fields for loading to a database product)
- A clear understanding of litigation discovery rules and production of documents for cases and will have a clear understanding of litigation technology products and services
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and prioritize
- Ability to take initiative when opportunities arise
- Willingness to perform routine tasks
- Works well independently
Educational/Professional Requirements:
• Two (2) of the following are required: Four (4) year of college degree, Certified e-Discovery Specialist Certification, four (4) years of previous ESI Specialist experience
• At least five (5) years of litigation experience, including trial experience, at a law firm
