Senior Litigation Associate – Cultural/Luxury/Arts

LAW Absolute

  • Full Time

LAW Absolute is recruiting an interim, senior litigation solicitor to work for a leading law firm’s cultural and arts team on an interim basis.

This is a fascinating role working as part of a team dealing with high-profile matters such as ownership and provenance, authenticity, auction house matters, rights of artists and litigation surrounding the sale of other luxury assets. Typically working with high-net worth private clients or high profile commercial institutions, the role will involve running litigation matters on an end-to-end basis.

Suitable candidates will need to be established litigators, with at least 5+ years of post-qualified experience in England & Wales. They should be confident in running disputes and working autonomously to advise clients. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate some experience of working on arts or luxury disputes, or have some familiarity working with a high-net-worth private client/family/estate. Candidates who have worked in high-profile matters such as media/defamation disputes would also be encouraged to apply. If candidates are commercial litigators that have not worked in this space but are able to demonstrate a particular knowledge or interest in the arts market, then please do consider this role. The role will not suit candidates who have worked wholly in document review as the requirement is to be able to run disputes wholly.

The role is anticipated to last from 4-6 months and can be offered on a structured hybrid basis or on more of a remote/consultancy type arrangement as preferred.

Please do send your CV or contact Antonia Klein at LAW Absolute for more information or you would like to discuss the role directly.
