About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Insurance/Contentious Construction Paralegal to join a leading law firm in Central London. This is a dynamic role within a growing team, working on high-value disputes in both insurance and contentious construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Support: Assist solicitors in handling complex insurance disputes and construction litigation matters.
- Case Management: Prepare legal documents, draft correspondence, and assist with case filings for litigation and arbitration proceedings.
- Document Review: Conduct detailed document reviews, research, and analysis to support ongoing cases.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients and third parties, providing regular updates on the progression of cases.
- Litigation Support: Support solicitors with preparation for hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution forums.
- Administration: Handle administrative duties such as file management, billing assistance, and managing client databases.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in insurance and/or contentious construction litigation.
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC) and insurance claims.
- Skills: Strong research, drafting, and organizational skills, with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: An eye for detail, with excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Qualifications: A law degree or equivalent, with the LPC being advantageous.
